Windstone EditionsThe Windstone Editions collection includes a wide variety of figures including mermaids, unicorns and - of course - dragons. These are based on the work of artist Melody Pena.M. Pena is a lifelong sculptor of animals, beginning as a two year old with a wet toilet paper sculpture of a dog! She's progressed considerably since then and her studio today is surrounded by the real life animals that provide inspiration for her fantastic figures. Windstone Edition figures are usually sold via local dealers or eBay auctions. A few rare, limited edition figures are sometimes made available in unusual colours. The Windstone dragons are available in a variety of colours including the gorgeous new "black gold". Windstone also intend to experiment with producing unpainted figures for artistic collectors to paint themselves. As of the time of writing (Feb 2006), Windstone is actively looking for new local dealers. They are offering a bounty in the form of collectables for successful introductions to new dealers - for more details see the Windstone Editions website.
