Faerie Dragons

The Faerie Dragon isn't a traditional dragon of myth and legend. It is in fact an offshoot of fantasy roleplaying games (RPGs), in particular Advanced Dungeons and Dragons (AD&D). It is described as a"chaotic offshoot" of the pseudodragon.

These rare dragons are small, growing to no more than maximum of five feet. They have colourful, gossamer wings that resemble those of a butterfly.

They are vegetarians, eating mainly fruit and nuts. They normally build their lair in a tree trunk near to water.

Faerie dragons are generally peaceful although they are mischievous and like to play practical jokes. If they are cornered and forced to fight, they turn invisible and use their breath weapon - a cloud of euphoria gas.

It is also said that they are telepathic and can communicate between themselves at distances of up to two miles. This comes in especially handy when seting up one of their pranks!

Faerie dragons sometimes give lifts to the fae and other small folk.
